Stimulating international cooperation: a driver of the global decarbonation
Moving towards a “zero net emissions” world by 2050 requires international cooperation to facilitate transfers of low-carbon technologies, skills, finance, etc. that can encourage climate action and reduce its cost.
In order to structure this international climate cooperation, the Paris Agreement and its Article 6 offers to Parties the opportunity to cooperate through the recognition of their benefits generated for the climate and the use of mechanisms such as the mechanism for Sustainable development (Article 6.4).
