Dorthe NIELSEN
Director of Strategic EngagementDorthe joined I4CE in June 2024. Based in Brussels, she leads on outreach, impact and institutional relations. She works to ensure that the research produced by I4CE is plugged into the relevant policy processes to inform decision-making.
She previously worked as executive director for a network of European cities, Eurocities, successfully promoting the role of local authorities in Europe’s green and just transition. Prior to that, she focused on European Union (EU) environment policies as senior EU policy coordinator at the Greater London Authority, following a couple of years as legal analyst in the Secretariat General of European Commission.
Dorthe holds two masters in European politics and public administration from the College of Europe (BE) and the University of Roskilde (DK), respectively. She has a certification in strategic foresight from Kairos Futures Institute (SW).
